Oh. My. Fucking. God. This…this was everything I wanted it to be. I was so scared before reading this because we haven’t seen how Sarah finishes off a series yet, but oh my I am so impressed. ACOWAR is beautiful and thrilling, with twists and turns every which way. It’s funny and heartbreaking, and there were many, many tears from my part.

Okay, so we start off straight away with Feyre in the Spring Court. And I really don’t want to give too much away (plus I will NEVER be able to do this book justice in a review) but the strategic moves from Feyre blew my breath away. That gal had me fist pumping and grinning like a total dweeb whenever she carried out one of her plans. She brought the Spring Court to its KNEES and looked fabulous doing it. I โค FEYRE 5EVER.

Feyre’s time in the Spring Court was the perfect length for me. She did not immediately return to her home, but neither did I feel like her time in Tamlin’s Court was drawn out. Perfect length, I tell you. Perfect.

Also, there were 3 characters I went into this book disliking; Tamlin, Nesta (pls hear me out before looking at me like that) and Jurian. I’m not gonna give anything away, but I no longer feel like drop kicking Tamlin. Don’t get me wrong, he has his moments and he will never be my favourite character. I will never forgive him for what he did to Feyre, nor what he says to her in ACOWAR. But…I no longer wish to kick him in the face. And that is an improvement.

Before ACOWAR, I didn’t like Nesta. I didn’t ship her with Cassian because I just didn’t get her. Don’t get me wrong, she was a brilliant character but as a person? No thank you. But in this book…we see her vulnerabilities. She is still cold, and aloof and sometimes a tad rude…but she cares, and we get to see that. There is a scene where Feyre, Nesta and Elain all lie together on the floor and oh my god you could hear me sobbing all the way from fucking China. I just…emotional. I am emotional.

And Jurian…I can’t say why my opinion of him changes because spoilers and people will shout at me.

Feyre and Rhys in this book blew me away. Because while they do their very best to protect the other, they NEVER hold each other back. They would do anything for the other, and theirs is such a beautiful love story that I’m considering ruling out all of my future relationships because my bar will always be set too high. I can only wish to find a love like Feysand did.

”I would have waited five hundred more years for you. A thousand. And if this was all the time we were allowed to have…the wait was worth it.”

In between these beautiful quotes I would just like to say FUCK YOU IANTHE YOU FUCKING BITCH I HATE YOU.

”The great joy and honour of my life has been to know you. To call you my family. And I am grateful – more than I can possibly say – that I was given this time with you all.”

Shhh….do you hear that? That is the sound OF MY HEART BREAKING.

I am so pleased I found this beautiful series. I am so honoured to have been able to read these books and find these friends.
