4 out of 5 stars

Dylan has one focus in life, and one focus only; baseball. Being the best player he can be and working up to the big leagues. There are sacrifices to be made, though; he has his strict routines and a strict no girls rule. He can’t afford distractions. The problem, however, arrives in the form of Lucy Foster, a wild spirit with a love of chickens, sewing, and expressing herself through t-shirts.

Dylan and Lucy meet when Lucy’s brother attends a summer baseball camp that Dylan happens to coach. The two clash; Dylan is straight-laced and Lucy is wild, but the more time they spend together, the more drawn to each other they are.

I loved seeing Lucy trying to push Dylan out of his comfort zone. It wasn’t easy for him, and he could be a bit of an arsehole, but he tried his best, and it was so sweet. If I had to sum this book up in one word it would be cute. This book is pure, sweet fluff. Easy reading, and that epilogue? Beautiful and heart warming.
